Funding Assistance

Why External Funding Assistance? Externally funded projects focus on the University's themes of public affairs, professional education, health, business and economic development, creative arts, science and the environment, and community services. They bring faculty and staff together to conduct research, education, and service projects. Each year, externally funded projects provide millions of dollars in support. Funding from external resources makes a difference! Look at the following examples.  With grants funding,

  • the Jordan Valley Innovation center develops cutting-edge technology for military defence and renovation of its research facilities;
  • a biology professor is able to conduct a 5-year research on cellular/molecular mechanisms;
  • the visual Impairment program helps to train teachers as Visually Impaired, and Orientation and Mobility specialists;
  • the Small Business Development center is able to provide training to business owners on small business administration;
  • and the Center for Resource Planning and Management can help a southwest Missouri community on zoning and development.

You can be successful, too!
