Funding for research and other scholarly efforts is available from government agencies, non-profit foundations, business and industry and other education institutions. Finding the right funding opportunity is an essential step in this process.

Each week, OSRP staff sends out funding notices from various federal agencies and foundations.  To conduct your own search, we recommend that you begin with the University electronic databases (SPIN and SMARTS). Another option is to search individual sponsor websites.  Links to SPIN, SMARTS, and foundation and federal agency websites can be found under the "External Funding" link on our homepage.

About Accessing Missouri State Electronic Databases

The University subscribes to several electronic databases that provide information on funding opportunities. These sites are only accessible through the University computer network. You will not be able to access them via your personal at-home, on-line service. Once you are linked to one of these web sites, place the address shown in the web site summary in your "Bookmarks" or "Favorites."
