SPIN Matching And Research Transmittal Service (SMARTS) is an electronic matching and funding opportunity notification system which provides investigators with a direct and targeted electronic link to comprehensive, current, and available national and international research funding information. Terms like  agricultural economics, child abuse/neglect, knowledge management, and teacher education, are among the  thousands in the SPIN Thesaurus that can be used to keep up-to-date on funding opportunities in specific areas of interest. SMARTS Keyword Form and Database: (by discipline, category, & keyword) Announcing a new item

Missouri State University, through the Office of Sponsored Research and Programs, offers access to a Keyword Form and Database that will allow all faculty and staff to search for other researchers, who may have the same interests, and able to be a source for collaborative expertise and support.

By entering the necessary information, you will be added into the SMARTS system allowing you to receive electronic notifications of potential funding announcements. See the directions to Signup for SMARTS.

SMARTS Search:

Use the SMARTS Keyword Search webpage to search for researchers by, Last Name, Category and Keywords to find persons who may have similar research, project and service interests and who may offer collaborative, and consultation opportunities. A Directory of all researchers registered in SMARTS is also provided.

Also provided is an Interactive Search Keyword tool that allows for using granular terms to filter either names, categories, keywords, and even specific terms and words within the database. See Interactive Keyword Search.
