These are all University policies and procedures for grants and funding used for Internal and External research.

  • Use of Computer and Computer Services
    Proposals that involve the purchase of large scale information technology products, especially those with potential to impact the information technology infrastructure or other System units.

  • Policy on Extra Compensation for Externally Sponsored Projects
    Compensation for faculty and other exempt persons based on performance of their regular duties and responsibilities assigned by the University.Conflict of Interest PolicyFederal regulations require institutions to have policies and procedures in place that ensure that investigators disclose any significant financial interest that may present an actual or potential conflict of interest in relationship to externally sponsored projects.
  • Biohazardous Materials
    To minimize the risks of injury and illness and help ensure containment for activities using potentially biohazardous materials and recombinant DNA.
  • Intellectual Property Policy
    Property policy for faculty, staff and students regarding the ownership of intellectual property that may be the subject of copyright or patent protection.
  • Salary Savings
    Acquisition of external funds is an increasingly important aspect of the University's involvement in research, education, and service projects that cannot be supported through appropriated funds.
  • Procedure for Student Services on courses
    Procedure to be used where sponsored projects are to cover the course and student fees for students enrolling in for-credit courses.   • Use/Modification of University Space
    Proposals that involve commitment of facilities that are not under the control of the applicant's department or college must be reviewed by the Space Management Task Force (SMTF).
